Lazea: Tourism, transports and excise taxes are economic growth solutions

The offer of transport and tourism services, an increase in excise taxes, and a rise in wages below productivity are solutions for Romania’s economic growth based on export, rather than consumption, according to Valentin Lazea, Chief Economist of the National Bank of Romania (BNR), quoted by NewsIn. At the same time, there is a need for a monetary policy that will not allow the leu to appreciate, added Lazea, at the annual conference of the Association of Financial and Banking Analysts in Romania.
